The challenge

Patients need a clear way to find private clinics and compare available information before making contact. Clinic specialties, services, offers, branches, opening hours, and contact details need to be searchable together, while clinics need a practical way to maintain their listings and platform operators need control over what becomes public.

The delivered solution

B-IT delivered the approved first-release marketplace scope: a responsive public website, patient applications for iOS and Android, a secure clinic dashboard, an administration panel, and shared backend services, APIs, database, and media storage. The product is Arabic-first with right-to-left interfaces; this case study is available in both English and Arabic.

The marketplace supports clinic discovery, informational comparison, and direct communication. Clinic teams maintain their profiles and content, while authorized administrators manage moderation, subscription packages, featured visibility, and advertising placements.

How the marketplace works

The patient-facing journey is connected to a controlled clinic publishing workflow, keeping discovery and content administration within the same platform.

  1. A clinic enters its profile, specialties, services, offers, branch locations, gallery, working hours, and approved contact details through its dashboard.
  2. Administrators review submissions, approve or reject them, request corrections, and control active or suspended status. Approved active records become publicly visible.
  3. Visitors search the website or mobile apps by clinic name, specialty, service, city, or region, then filter and sort the matching clinics.
  4. Visitors open a clinic profile to compare available services, active offers, images, opening hours, location, and moderated ratings and reviews. Registered patients can save favourites and submit reviews.
  5. Patients choose a direct telephone, WhatsApp, maps/directions, email, or clinic website link. The selected channel opens outside the marketplace; the platform does not manage the resulting medical interaction.

Key capabilities

The delivered first release combines public discovery tools with clinic self-service and centralized operational controls.

  • Clinic discovery: search, specialty/service/location filters, configured sorting, paginated results, and active-offer indicators for approved active clinics.
  • Detailed profiles: services, offers, galleries, branch addresses and maps, working hours, approved reviews, ratings, and available direct-contact links.
  • Patient web and mobile access: guest browsing, account registration and login, profile management, favourites, and authenticated rating/review submissions across iOS and Android apps.
  • Clinic dashboard: profile and gallery updates, specialty/service/offer management, branch working hours, contact information, submission status, and moderator feedback.
  • Moderation and permissions: clinic/content/review approval, correction requests, activation and suspension, clinic-scoped access, administrative roles, and critical-action audit history.
  • Marketplace operations: administratively managed subscription packages and validity, manual payment records, featured clinic positions, and scheduled advertising banners with display priorities.
  • Shared services and integrations: authenticated APIs, central data/media storage, maps and direct communication links, and operational notifications through configured channels.
  • Basic reporting: clinic status/location/specialty, subscriptions, offers, pending approvals, advertisements, and patient totals, with profile views and contact clicks where tracking is configured and measurable.

Scope boundaries

This first release is a discovery and communication marketplace, not an internal appointment-booking or medical-care system. Doctor schedules, booking confirmation/rescheduling, payment gateways, automated recurring billing, insurance integrations, electronic medical records, prescriptions, and video consultations are outside the delivered MVP scope.

The scope also excludes AI medical recommendations, an advanced AI comparison engine, an internal chatbot/shared inbox, external review synchronization, and advanced business intelligence. Mobile app delivery does not imply a claim about final Apple/Google store approval, and no clinic onboarding targets or measured commercial outcomes are presented as achieved.

Operational value

The delivered platform gives patients one place to discover and compare clinic information before choosing a communication channel. Clinics have a structured workspace to maintain their digital presence, and platform operators have a shared view of publishing approvals, subscriptions, promotional visibility, and basic activity reporting.

The shared backend connects the website, patient apps, and operational dashboards around the same clinic records and publishing rules. This describes the delivered functionality without claiming patient growth, revenue increases, medical outcomes, performance guarantees, or regulatory certification.
